Accelerator 400
Accelerator 400 is used with epoxy hardeners to promote epoxy curing in amine systems. Accelerator 400 can be used with Huntsman JEFFAMINE® Polyetheramine range, but can also be used with most other amines.
Alkylalkanolamines
Versatile, multi-functional molecules, usually exhibiting higher activity than amines and alcohols. The alkanolamines and their aqueous solutions will absorb carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide at lower temperatures and release the acid gases at higher temperatures. This forms the basis for processes which separate carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide from gas streams.
Amines
Used as accelerators, primarily in the construction industry in applications such as concrete and cement.
APM
N-aminopropylmorpholine (APM) is a highly reactive, low viscosity amine that can be used as reactive diluent in epoxy products e.g. coatings and adhesives, depending on the functionality as a chain extender or cross-linking agent in resins and as an accelerator for slower curing amine containing systems.
APMMEA and APMMEA-WB
Huntsman APMMEA-WB and APMMEA amine neutralisers provide optimum pH, emulsion stability and enhanced pigment dispersion, have low viscosity and are essentially colourless.
Ethyleneamines
Primarily used as reactive intermediates, due to their high reactivity they can form polymeric products, act as hydrophiles in surfactants, interact with metal ions and metal surfaces, be acid scavengers and be quarternised.
JEFFADD®
Range of inherently low foaming amines which can be formulated into metal working fluids to provide pH buffering and a source of alkalinity.
JEFFAMINE® Polyetheramines
JEFFAMINE® Polyetheramines are an extremely versatile product range used primarily in epoxy systems. Mainly used to increase flexibility, toughness, hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity (depending on the product used), they also offer various reactivities, good temperature stabilities, are essentially colourless and have a low viscosity.
JEFFCAT® Catalysts
JEFFCAT® catalysts are used for a wide range of urethane applications including manufacture of polyether and polyester foams, elastomers, coatings, urethane plastics and adhesives.
JEFFOX®
JEFFOX® range are primarily used as an effective water soluble defoamer for concrete, also in metalworking applications as an excellent lubricant under high pressure suitable for formulating into metalworking fluids. JEFFOX® can be used as a lubricant on its own or as an additive in water-based metalworking fluids.
JEFFSOL® Carbonates
JEFFSOL® carbonates can be used as “safe” and environmentally friendly solvents thus replacing hazardous and highly volatile solvents like methylene chloride, acetone and aromatic solvents.
Morpholine and DIGLYCOLAMINE® Agent
Used in the CASE, Metalworking and Homecare markets as an emulsifier and wetting agent; Morpholine also acts as an excellent corrosion inhibitor, especially in steam boiler systems. Has applications within water treatment as it is miscible with water as well as a large range of other organic solvents. DIGLYCOLAMINE® Agent is a 2-(2-aminoethoxy) ethanol which is used as a foam stabilizer, wetter, emulsifier and an amide in metalworking, personal care and electronics.
SURFONIC®
SURFONIC® SM sodium sulfonates can provide excellent emulsification and corrosion inhibition properties in industrial lubricant formulations such as metalworking fluids and hydraulic fluids. SURFONIC® SM are available across a range of molecular weights and are compatible with a wide range of mineral oils and synthetic base lubricants.
